Frequently asked questions
Will the recipient know if they remove my watermark?
Watermark renders as an embedded layer in the PDF, not a separate file. Removing it requires re-rendering the PDF, which leaves traces (date metadata, font subsetting changes) a forensic check can detect.
Does converting Word to PDF preserve track changes?
Word-to-PDF flattens the document — track changes appear as final-accepted text. Use Word's 'Final, no markup' view first if you want a clean copy without revision history.
Is it safe to redact a leaked source PDF?
Yes. Redact PDF strips source-identifying metadata (author, original file path, tool version) along with visible content. Browser-side processing means the leaked file never reaches our servers.
