Why convert Word to PDF with PDFWix?
- Pixel-faithful layout: Headings, columns, tables and images render in the PDF exactly where Word placed them — no surprise re-flow on the recipient's machine.
- Fonts embedded automatically: Custom fonts ship inside the PDF so it looks identical on a Mac, a Windows laptop, or a phone, even if the reader doesn't have the font installed.
- Hyperlinks stay clickable: Email addresses, web URLs and cross-references in your Word doc remain live links in the PDF.
- Form-ready output: Word content controls become fillable PDF form fields, so contracts and intake forms work straight after conversion.
- Free and unlimited: No daily cap, no signup, no watermarks on the resulting PDF — convert as many resumes and reports as you need.
- Privacy by design: Files are encrypted in transit and processed in memory only — never written to a disk we keep around.

Frequently asked questions
Is Word to PDF available now?
Not yet — it's on our launch list and arriving soon. Join the waitlist on the page and we'll email you the moment it goes live. In the meantime, the simplest free workaround is File → Save As → PDF inside Microsoft Word itself.
Will my fonts look the same after conversion?
Yes. When the tool launches, all fonts will be embedded in the PDF automatically so the document renders identically on every device, even if the recipient doesn't have your fonts installed.
Will tables, headers and images survive?
Yes — Word to PDF is a near-lossless conversion. Tables, headers, footers, page numbers, embedded images and hyperlinks will all carry across exactly as they appear in Word.
Will form fields convert to fillable PDF fields?
Yes. Content controls (text fields, checkboxes, dropdowns) added in Word will become real fillable PDF form fields, so the resulting PDF works as a form straight away.
What's the file-size limit?
We don't plan to enforce a hard cap. Practical limits will depend on your browser's memory — most resumes, contracts and reports under a few hundred MB will convert without issue.
Will my Word file be uploaded to a server?
Where possible, conversion will run in your browser. When server processing is required (for very complex documents), the file will travel over HTTPS and be processed in memory only — never stored to disk.
