Frequently asked questions

Can Preview on Mac save a PDF as JPG?

Yes — for one page at a time. Open the PDF in Preview, select the page in the sidebar, File → Export, set Format to JPEG. There is no Export All option in Preview on any version of macOS.

How do I batch convert every page of a PDF to JPG on Mac?

Either build an Automator Quick Action using 'Render PDF Pages as Images' (one-time setup), or open PDF to JPG in Safari and click Convert — every page exports in one go with DPI and quality control.

Is PDFWix uploading my PDF when I convert on Mac?

No. Rendering runs in your browser using WebAssembly (PDF.js). The PDF and the resulting JPEGs stay on your Mac. You can verify by going Airplane Mode (or disabling Wi-Fi) after selecting the file — conversion still completes.
