Does Redact PDF actually remove the content?

Yes. Text and image data are stripped from the PDF stream rather than covered with a black box. Copy-paste returns nothing, satisfying production-quality redaction standards.

How do I verify PDFWix redaction is permanent?

After downloading the redacted PDF from PDFWix Redact PDF, open it in any PDF reader and press Ctrl+A to select all text. No text should be selectable under or around the redaction boxes. Also try copying the entire document — the redacted content should not appear in the clipboard. PDFWix rasterises redacted pages to flat images, permanently destroying the underlying text data rather than covering it with a black rectangle.

Does PDFWix support Bates numbering?

Yes. PDFWix Page Numbers allows custom prefix text before the page number — enter 'EXHIBIT-' or 'BATES-' as a prefix with sequential numbering starting at any number. The result is functionally equivalent to Bates numbering for exhibit bundling and court filings. Full custom format control: prefix, suffix, starting number, position, font, and size.
