Frequently asked questions
Will Compress PDF ruin a high-end portfolio?
Use the Low compression preset to preserve image fidelity. The Recommended preset is invisible on screen but mildly softer in commercial print — pick based on the recipient.
Can PDFWix replace Acrobat for a freelance designer?
For day-to-day operational work (crop, compress, merge, watermark, sign) yes. For Distiller-grade preflight or advanced color management, rent an Acrobat seat per project.
Does Crop PDF affect print bleed?
Crop PDF removes the cropped area from the printable region. Set crop marks before exporting from InDesign or Figma so the printer still has bleed reference if you crop after export.
